Some home network routers prevent computers from accessing Shaw servers using the short-form hostnames shawmail, shawnews and proxy.
If you are experiencing this problem, try using the equivalent fully qualified server name (or FQDN). To find out your fully qualified server name, simply choose the city nearest you in the menu below.
Note: substitute shawnews or proxy for shawmail in the above server name where appropriate.
